710 Labs Melon Soda #24 Persy Badder arrives with an emphasis on packaging that prioritizes maximum freshness and preservation. One standout feature is the adult size jar—finally, a sight for sore eyes! I've often mentioned in previous reviews the challenge of evaluating good hash due to the limited sample sizes. It's worth stating outright: 1 gram samples simply aren’t sufficient.

Well, the guys at 710 Labs seem to have taken note, offering a 2.5 gram jar that not only allows for a comprehensive review but also leaves a generous amount for personal enjoyment. It's truly refreshing to see a jar filled nearly to the brim, unlike other samples that appear more like tiny pearls in oversized containers. Admittedly, I couldn't resist sneaking a few dabs before officially beginning the review. There’s nothing better than a full bucket!

For this session, I've chosen to put on The Grateful Dead December 31, 1978 Live at Winterland Ballroom to accompany the experience. Great hash and great music are two of the anchoring points of The Pinsky Triangle. Connecting the dots, ensures a connection between these distinct pleasures.

Cracking open the jar, the texture of the badder catches my eye—it's soaking wet yet remarkably fluffy. A layer of grease is visible not just on the surface but also throughout, indicating the depth of texturally terpy notes. The sharp, yet sweet aroma, lights up the room. If I had to compare terpenes to a spectrum of sound frequencies, these terps would have a higher pitch, or fall into one of the higher octaves in the register. I always marvel at how cannabis can express itself with such a range of aromatic frequencies.

Opting for a slightly larger dab to fully immerse in the experience, I set the temperature at 520°. This adjustment, slightly higher than usual, aids in managing the massive glob that I’m about to rip with my trusty Control Tower from Highly Educated. When you’re going for adult size dabs bumping up the temperature slightly helps with the volume of oil that you’re about to take down.

And that’s exactly what happened. As soon as I pressed the dabber to my rig and watched it swirl, thousands of tiny bubbles started to emerge. It almost looked like cracking a can of seltzer. the texture went from fluffy, greasy and delicate on my dab tool to a violent eruption of excitement as I took my first hit.

Now I feel the melon soda starting to take center stage and I have a better understanding of as to why it was named as such. The taste of this one is sweet with a bit of earthy tones underneath. What’s not surprising is the thick layer of flavor and fragrance that instantly coats the inside of my mouth throat and sinus cavity. This Persy batter definitely earns its name not only in the consistency and quality of the hash, but in how it feels when you inhale it, marking an indelible experience that resonates well beyond the session.

710 Labs introduced the term "Persy" as a nod to the cherished tradition of accessing a dealer's private reserve, embodying the pinnacle of quality and exclusivity. In todays era dominated by retail shops, The Persy harkens back to the elusive and highly sought-after "Personal Stash” celebrating the art of procuring the most exceptional and coveted selections from your local weed dealer. This feels like that to me, even tho I was the local weed dealer back in the day.
