Boost Protab+ by Level

98 Points
I had a 9 AM tee time this morning, and I wanted to try something that was going to give me energy and help me focus on the golf course. I had been wanting to try the Level Protab+ Boost Tablets for a while, and this seemed the perfect excuse to give them a try. On the package, Level claims these tablets will provide focus and energy, and may suppress appetite. I love Level products for their unique cannabinoid formulas that can’t be found anywhere else. The Boost Tablets contain THC, THCv and CBG, which are all cannabinoids that I enjoy consuming, so I was looking forward to seeing how this combination affected me.
Each Protab contains 22mg of THC, 8.7mg of THCv, 3.64mg of CBG and .21mg of CBD. There are ten tablets in the box. This review is based on my Minimum Effective Dose (MED), or the smallest amount needed to achieve the desired effect. My MED is around 50mg of THC, but lately my tolerance has gone up, and my MED has risen to 60-70mg. For this review, I chose to take 3 tablets for a total of 66mg of THC, 26mg of THCv and 10mg of CBG. If you are unsure of your MED, it is recommended to start with 5mg of THC, wait 90 minutes and then incrementally add 5mg as needed. Because it is very difficult to dose 5mg of THC with this product, I would not recommend it for those who are new to edibles or those with a MED of less than 10mg of THC. It is possible to split the tablets in half, making doses that contain 11mg of THC.
The package is fairly easy to open. Peel the silver sticker off the corner of the box, then squeeze the sides and slide the package open. The tablets are pressed pills and are very small, making it easy to take a few if necessary. They are odorless and flavorless. Level Protabs have to be one of the easiest, if not THE easiest edible to consume. As someone with a higher tolerance, this is one of the things I love the most about this product. Instead of having to eat seven gummies or drink most of a sugary beverage, I can just take three tiny tablets.
I took the tablets at 8:45, fifteen minutes before I was set to tee off. My first two holes were a mess, but once I got to the third hole around 9:30, I started to feel more focused and energized. The energy was subtle and not overwhelming. It resided mostly in the body, while my brain was incredibly focused. Normally before hitting a golf shot, I’m standing over the ball with a million thoughts running through my head. Today, my mind was very focused, and it showed in my golf game. After those first two holes, my game showed drastic improvement. I also was not nearly as hungry as I would have been normally, which I can attribute to the THCv. By the time we got to the halfway point after the ninth hole (around 11:00), the energy was beginning to fade a little, so I decided to take two more tablets. Again, the sativa effects of the THC were present, but they were more mildly psychoactive than expected. The body energy and the mental focus of the THCv were the main effects that I noticed. The CBG also did a great job keeping me pain-free through the round thanks to the anti-inflammatory properties.
If you have a decently high tolerance for THC, and you’re looking for an easy to consume edible that provides focus and energy, without being overly racy or psychoactive, then look no further than the Level Protab+ Boost Tablets. As with all Level products, their unique cannabinoid formula does exactly what it claims to do. While I used this product to help my golf game today, I could also see it being great for getting projects done for work or around the house. Just make sure you know how sativa edibles affect you before taking them with work to be done! I’d recommend starting small and working your way up. You can always take more if you need it!
