Join Budist and The Woods for an intimate exploration of two extraordinary plants that have captivated and inspired humanity for millennia: coffee and cannabis. On the much-anticipated opening weekend of The Woods’ new coffee bar—Cafe Woods—we invite you to immerse yourself in a sensory experience led by Colleen King, our resident coffee expert and renowned sourceress. During this one-of-a-kind event, you’ll sharpen your senses with an aroma-driven “coffee cupping” session, followed by an aromatic tasting of hash and flowers, and ending with a Budist-led dab bar, joint rolling station, and tasting of four signature coffee drinks from the Cafe Woods. 21+ Only.

There’s There’s no better day to celebrate our love of the plant than 4/20, and this year, Budist is partnering with L.A.’s hottest cannabis destination and event producer to bring you an immersive and euphoric tasting experience. Co-hosted by PuffDao and PleasureMed, the Budist Pleasure Lounge is a pop-up at the annual Buds & Bites celebration, where more than 1,000 cannabis-loving consumers will gather to celebrate their passion for the plant and community. The lounge will feature cannabis aphrodisiacs in an intimate and interactive tasting environment led by our team of Budists. General admission is free - 21+ Only.
Hash Nouveau

Following the success of our Fleur Nouveau event, which celebrated the fresh flower harvest of 2024, we’re thrilled to partner again with The Woods West Hollywood and POET for Hash Nouveau, coming up on May 1, 2025. As the foundation for flavorful and aromatic hash, truly understanding the world of concentrates starts with exploring the cultivars and farming practices that shape the final product, and in a one-of-a-kind comparative tasting, Hash Nouveau will bring the journey of hash to life—from soil to oil. By uniting the cultivators and artisans behind world-class concentrates, this event offers guests a rare opportunity to gain insight into the techniques and craftsmanship that transform flower into one of the finest expressions of the cannabis plant. Join Budist and Cannabis Culture Club on an exploration into the rich history of spices and cannabis across ancient Asia, for an unforgettable evening of fine dining and solventless pairings with Mogu Magu, featuring Chef Wendy Zeng and Christina Wong. Enjoy a 4-course meal expertly paired with premier live rosin cultivars, crafted to elevate your dining experience. This event is a collaboration with Bear Labs, Fire King Hash, and Ay Papi. Join us at the Cannabis Chamber of Commerce Monthly Mixer for a celebration of the cannabis community, where we'll be hosting an exclusive Budist Speakeasy in the lounge at Urbana. Jamie Evans will be serving a craft mocktail from her latest HIGH TIMES mixology book, Sara Payan—longtime educator and host of Planted with Sara Payan—will join Scott Reiman, Certified Ganjier and competition judge, to host a flower bar and guided tasting.

Join us at the brand-new Urbana consumption lounge in Oakland for an expert-led deep dive into edibles. This session will feature a curated demonstration and tasting of top-rated products from Emerald Sky, guided by Budist critic Scott Reiman. The session will last approximately 30-45 minutes followed by Q&A / group discussion.
This event is open to the public and free to attend, but registration is required and guests must be age 21+.
